Certified Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:
- Triaging patients, taking vitals, and acquiring patient histories
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures, which includes but is not limited to MRI, CSF taps, radiographic studies, and others
- Client communication, which includes discussing treatment plans, estimates/payment options, phone calls, and discharges
- Payment Collection
- Phlebotomy
- IV catheter placement
- Induction/monitoring general anesthesia/sedation
- Operation of a mechanical ventilator
- Operating autoclave and Sterlink (cold) sterilizer
- Processing specimens in the in-house laboratory and submitting specimens to outside laboratories
- Calculating medication dosages and providing dosage instructions for clients
- Keeping accurate patient records
- Assisting with neurologic surgical procedures
- Veterinary technicians are expected to help/assist with carrying of patients. Generally, this means an ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Contributes to day-to-day hospital cleanliness
- Use of hospital computer system and treatment plan software
Veterinary Technician Requirements:
- Must have a valid CVT license in the state of Wisconsin
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Outstanding people skills
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Team player
- Ability to bend, kneel, and safely handle large and/or difficult patients
- Adaptable
Certified Veterinary Technician (Overnight)
Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:
- Triaging and acquiring patient vitals
- Caring for hospitalized patients
- Communicating to DVM on call of any patient concerns.
- Client communication, which includes discussing treatment plans, estimates/payment options, phone calls, and discharges.
- Payment Collection
- Phlebotomy
- IV catheter placement
- Operating autoclave and Sterlink (cold) sterilizer
- Processing specimens in the in-house laboratory

Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:
- Triaging patients, taking vitals, and acquiring patient histories
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures, which includes but is not limited to MRI, CSF taps, radiographic studies, and others
- Client communication, which includes discussing treatment plans, estimates/payment options, phone calls, and discharges
- Payment Collection
- Preparation of Surgery suite for procedures
- Phlebotomy
- IV catheter placement
- Leak check of anesthesia machines
- Operating autoclave and Sterlink (cold) sterilizer
- Processing specimens in the in-house laboratory and submitting specimens to outside laboratories
- Providing care for hospitalized patients
- Administering medications under the supervision of the DVM/CVT
- Calculating medication dosages and providing dosage instructions for clients
- Keeping accurate patient records
- Assisting with Spinal Taps
- Veterinary Assistants are expected to help/assist with carrying of patients. Generally, this means an ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Contributes to day-to-day hospital cleanliness
- Use of hospital computer system and treatment plan software
Veterinary Assistant Requirements:

Veterinary Receptionist
Veterinary Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Client communication, which includes discussing treatment plans, estimates/payment options, phone calls, and discharges
- Uploading and tracking patient records
- Greeting clients upon arrival
- Answering telephone calls and returning e-mails
- Scheduling appointments using our designated software
- Informing the veterinarian on a call of any emergencies that require urgent attention
- Issuing invoices for treatment and prescribed medication after each consultation
- Receiving and verifying payments after each consultation
- Overseeing the sale of items stocked by the practice
- Ensuring samples for outside laboratories are prepared and sent out
- Tracking deceased patients and sending sympathy cards
- Delegate to appropriate staff client inquiries to ensure response in timely manner
- Contributes to day-to-day hospital cleanliness
- Use of hospital computer system and treatment plan software
Veterinary Receptionist Requirements:
